FAQs
Fence FAQs for residential, commercial and industrial consumers.
Cedar is the best bang for your buck, however both are suitable options for different scenarios. Pine is a great budget friendly option, but will deteriorate much faster than cedar. A cedar fence is typically better looking, more rigid, and will hold its shape better over time, but is more than double the cost per picket.
This can depend on many factors, but the typical rule is 7’ tall in Orleans parish, and 8’ tall in Jefferson Parish. There are special cases where the height of a fence can be approved for a height taller than this depending on the scenario. A salesperson would be happy to assist you further on this topic.
Jefferson Parish does require that a permit be obtained for the construction of any fence that involves replacement of the fence posts. Orleans Parish does not require a permit for fences up to 7’ in height when there is no conflict with the Zoning Ordinance.
Any cash contract over $1,000 will require a 50% deposit. Financed projects do not require a deposit. Call for information about commercial projects.
